Review 1: DNF this book because it wasn't going how i wanted. I acknowledge that is completely selfish and unfair of me but i don't really care.

Double Clutch Liz Reinhardt In.

Liz Reinhardt is usually a hit or miss for me, and this book was a miss. Besides the fact that it doesn't end how i want (don't judge me because I like to skim the ending) but also there are a bunch of scenes that are boring and sort of drag on. Granted, i read like 35% of it, but still. There are scenes describing her getting ready in the morning (yawn) and riding her bike to school, etc. I just got pretty bored if she wasn't talking to one of the two possible love interests. Also, i started reading this and DNF it a while ago, but just today i finished Fall Guy which was really good, and only just barely did i realize Brenna is the best f.

And that would explain why I was confused about how they met and became friends and then Brenna is in NJ and has a bf named Jake and how Jake's rich and about to inherit a trust fund but his family doesn't approve of Brenna and I just completely didn't know where that came from: until now. So I guess if you read this series first you meet Evan eventually and then you can read her story in Fall Guy. Idk why but Fall Guy was so much more interesting to me. Also, the fact that Brenna Blixen gets a 3 part series kind of irks me and i didn't want to stick around for that long. I really just wanted her to pick a guy and then be done.

Ok, enough ranting. The whole point of this review was only to express my 'ah ha!' Moment where I realized why the name Brenna Blixen was familiar when I read it in Fall Guy. Fall Guy is actually a book that kept me entertained though, and this one didn't. So, if this book didn't appeal to you and maybe you didn't finish it, don't give up on Liz Reinhardt, I suggest you read Fall Guy. For some reason I can't put my finger on, Liz Reinhardt is really a hit or miss author for me.

Some of her books are great and i adore them, and others grate on my nerves. Ok, enough storytelling and ranting. Review 2: YES!

I finally managed to read a whole book again. The reading slump is over! This book is really cute. When I was reading the first pages Brenna was a little childish and sounded younger that I thought she were I was about to give the book up. So glad I didn't!Brenna is a lovely character. I really liked her and the way she told the story.Saxon is definitely a complicated character. I sometimes liked him but sometimes I wished him a very painful death. And then there is Jake. I instantly liked him and despite his past he is definitely a better choice for Brenna than Saxon!(in my opinion).Liz Reinhardt managed to make a very cute and romantic novel and I look forward to the next book in the series because I will definitely read it.

What happens when you fall in love with the perfect guy.twice.in one day? Brenna Blixen spent her freshman year homeschooling in Denmark; now that shes back in the States, shes determined to make her sophomore year unforgettable. And by unforgettable, she imagined awesome classes, fun friendships, and maybe a little romance. What she got was a whole lot of romance, and all at once. The same day that dark, brooding Saxon Maclean charmed her with his killer good looks and whip-smart wit, Jake Kelly stole her breath away with his heart-wrenching smile and intelligent, thoughtful focus. But Saxon is a proud player who makes it clear that he doesnt know why he cant get Brenna off of his mind and out of his system, and Jakes sweet and humble attitude hides a secret past life that might be more darker and more complex than Brennas willing to handle.Complicating the matter is the fact that Saxon and Jake were once best friends and are now arch-enemies.and the more Brenna finds out about their connection to each other, the more intrigued and worried she becomes. Between keeping the peace with her lovingly over-protective parents, designing t-shirts for her high schools rising punk band, keeping up her grades in both academic and technical high school, and running the track like a maniac, Brenna has enough to worry about with out juggling two guys who make her heart thud and drive her crazy all at once. She has to make a choice. But how can she when giving her heart to one of them might mean breaking the others?
